The latest update from Team Ninja shows that Nioh 3 has now sold 1 million copies. The new record now pushes the total number of copies sold by the franchise to over 10 million. Team Ninja shared the stats through their social media platform.

“Nioh 3 has already surpassed 1 million copies sold, pushing the franchise to an incredible 10 million units worldwide,” the developer wrote on X. “Thank you for your continued support. We hope you keep enjoying the Nioh series.”

Fans of the franchise took to the comment section of the post to celebrate the news, with some saying that Nioh 3 is their best in the series. Nioh 3 earned a Metascore of 86 on PS5 and 85 on PC based on 100 critic reviews, making it the second-best rated entry in the franchise’s history.

The first entry in the series remains the best rated to date. The PS4 release bagged a Metascore of 88 from 100 critic reviews. The sequel ranks third in rating with a Metascore of 85 from 91 critic reviews.

Nioh 3 was released on February 6, 2026. It is the third entry in the dark samurai action RPG series. Players need to use both Samurai and Ninja combat styles in their battles against formidable yokai as they explore a thrilling open field. It has a Very Positive rating (83%) on Steam.
