A YouTuber Fuzhpuzy met with Christopher Judge, the voice actor for Kratos in God of War 2018 and Ragnarök, at a fan expo. During the meeting, the YouTuber asked the actor about the God of War Trilogy Remake. Judge confirmed that he will not be part of the trilogy remake. Instead, it will feature TC Carson, who voiced Kratos in the original game.

“YouTuber Fuzhpuzy asked God of War voice actor Christopher Judge if he’s in the upcoming GoW Remakes,” read a post from Rebs Gaming on X. “He said: Kratos will be voiced by TC Carson in the remakes, Christopher won’t be in it.”

Also revealed in the brief interview is that the remake is not going to be just a reboot but will feature “new technology” and a “new fighting system”. Judge did not elaborate on the new technology and what the new fighting system would look like.
In the brief interview, Judge could be heard saying, “You’ll be hearing about what we’re doing probably late summer,” which has been widely interpreted as another announcement from the God of War studio.
It was recently revealed that the 2018 God of War and the sequel Ragnarök have now generated over $1.4 billion in revenue. The information was revealed via a LinkedIn post from the Senior Managing Producer for Art at Santa Monica Studios, Rich Fleider.

“God of War (2018) & God of War: Ragnarök (Sony PlayStation) – Record-breaking Metacritic scores & $1.4B+ combined sales,” read Fleider’s post. The producer was responsible for the studio’s largest art team of over 70 internal artists and 100s of external partners worldwide.
While the revenue so far is an impressive milestone, it is important to mention that both entries were released on PS5 and PS4, and eventually on PC via Steam. The 2018 release was a shift in the franchise with Kratos returning as a more reserved family man rather than a rage-filled warrior.
