Last week, Sony confirmed that the next State of Play will be broadcast on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. According to PlayStation Blog, the event will last over 60 minutes, and the headline will be Marvel’s Wolverine.
“To kick things off, you’ll get a closer look at Marvel’s Wolverine,” read the message published by SIE Content Communications Manager Tim Turi. “Insomniac Games will share more from its upcoming third-person action-adventure game, showing off Logan’s brutal and relentless combat along with some new details. This all-new take on the comic book legend launches on PS5 September 15.”

The June 2026 State of Play will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch at these times: Tuesday, June 2 at 2:00 pm PT / 5:00 pm ET / 11:00 pm CEST | June 3 at 6:00 am JST. While there have been speculations about what games will likely be revealed, a ‘Fan Event’ advert has added to the excitement. The fan event is expected to take place in six cities, namely;
- Chicago
- Dallas/Fort Worth
- Los Angeles
- New York City
- Raleigh
- San Francisco Bay Area
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is advertising the Fan Event as a 90-minute show. However, it is unclear if the entire time will be dedicated to game showcase or will include adverts, hardware reveals, and fluff. The advert from the cinema titled ‘Claws Out: Fresh Look at Marvel’s Wolverine and More’ read:
