ARC Raiders experienced a spike in activities last weekend. Nearly half a million players headed Topside in search of treasures on Steam. Embark has now confirmed that over 700,000 concurrent Raiders visited the surface last weekend.

“Hey Raiders! It’s been a little over one week since we opened up the tunnels for you to head Topside, and this past weekend we reached over 700,000 concurrent Raiders on the surface! 🥳,” read the message posted by the developer on X. “We’re so happy to have you all here!”

“The many different ways you play and participate in ARC Raiders have completely blown us away, going far beyond what we ever imagined. You surprise us, you outsmart us, and you keep us on our toes. We wouldn’t have it any other way. The point being, you all push us to be better, and we’re truly grateful to have you along for this journey.”

The stats released by the developer confirm that the majority of those who joined the party did so on PC rather than console. The social feature of ARC Raiders has been widely praised. The curiosity that the feature brings has helped to attract new players to the game. The sentiment was also echoed in the comment under the post announcing the record concurrent players last weekend.

“Love the game,” wrote an X user @AufstandX23. “Honestly, one in a lifetime experience to join a game with your new friends and meet more friendly people. Having enough people to take down a leaper, a bastion and a Rocketeer. Love the game, can’t wait to see what you guys have in store for the future.”

Others took the opportunity to point out issues they want the developer to fix. A comment from @deletemyinfopls read, “Please fix desync, you have something really special that has a hang up. I know your servers been slammed so I’m not holding it against you right now.”
