Most games achieve their peak concurrent player count on their launch weekend or a weekend after that. However, ARC Raiders is not showing signs of slowing down. Last weekend, it smashed its concurrent player count on Steam by over 100,000 players.
Although there is glut in the extraction shooter genre, ARC Raiders has proven that developers can still find success in the genre, regardless of the competition. In the last twenty-four hours, the game attracted 462,488 concurrent players on Steam.

At the time of writing, over 185,000 people were playing the game, according to SteamDB. It only needs a few thousand more concurrent players to surpass the Black Ops 6 peak concurrent player record. It currently enjoys more concurrent players compared to Black Ops 6.
Two features have been hailed for the success currently being enjoyed by ARC Raiders, namely the social mechanics and the retro-futuristic graphics. The new milestone is impressive considering that the game has been on the market for 10 days.
What type of game is ARC Raiders?
ARC Raiders is a third-person shooter that leans heavily towards social mechanics. Although it was designed to be approached as a PvE, the social mechanics have attracted lots of curiosity from the gaming community.
The future seems bright for the third-person shooter, as evident in the game’s roadmap shared by Embark Studios. The developer has promised to support the game for a decade. The 2025 roadmap promises new events, maps, gameplay items, quests, and more.
