Electronic Arts confirmed through an email that Battlefield 6 will reach up to 120 FPS on consoles if players opt for performance mode. The company also talked about post-launch content, which will include covert operations.
A section of the email with the heading “Built for Console & PC”, as spotted on MP1ST, highlighted the various features that will come with the game when it launches on October 10. The first to be discussed was enhanced crossplay between platforms.

The email also discussed Quality and Performance modes, where it said, console players can get “up to 120 FPS or high-fidelity visuals”. The last feature emphasized in the email was the PS5 Pro enhancements, which give players higher resolutions and frame rates.
Giving a glimpse of what is to come in Battlefield 6, the email mentioned covert operations, adding that players should expect new maps, weapons, and modes in the first season, post-launch.
In other news, it appears some players who pre-ordered the physical copies of Battlefield 6 received them earlier. One fortunate player posted what appears to be an image of a PS5 version of the upcoming title in their hand on the official Battlefield Reddit.
In the era of realistic image manipulations using AI, it is always important to take every too-good-to-be-true image with a grain of salt. This sentiment was echoed in the comment, with some saying the game will not be playable until the full release. However, the user who posted the image commented that the servers are online, meaning it is playable.
Even if the image is genuine, the user will likely struggle to find an online match, especially in modes with bigger lobbies. However, they can get a head start with the Battlefield 6 campaign. If they are streamers or run a gaming channel, that would be a good thing because they will crank out walkthrough videos faster than everyone else.
