The ripple from the lawsuit filed by former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) employee Janel Grant is far from over. Grant had alleged that former WWE bosses Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis had sexually assaulted and trafficked her to attract wrestling talent. Brock Lesnar appears to have been caught up in the web of events.
According to a BBC report, Grant met McMahon while unemployed and dealing with her late parent’s bankruptcy. McMahon allegedly pressured her into a physical relationship with a WWE job promise. Based on the legal filing, Grant eventually worked at WWE’s headquarters in Connecticut between 2019 and 2022. McMahon has denied the allegations.

“I stand by my prior statement that Ms Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth,” said McMahon in a statement on Friday, January 26, 2024.
“Out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately.”
Grant’s lawsuit also detailed a litany of abuses by her former employer. Although no name was mentioned, a section of the document said a “former UFC and WWE Champion” was one of the benefactors of McMahon’s sexual trafficking against her will.
Brock Lesnar appears to be the only WWE and UFC Champion that matches that description. He retired from professional wrestling in the mid-2000s and joined the UFC where he excelled. However, he returned to the WWE in the late 2010s.
Brock Lesnar is being removed from every game with WWE branding
Earlier this month, players of WWE SuperCard started realizing that Brock Lesnar cards were no longer available in any of the game’s modes. WWE SuperCard is a game where players battle each other by comparing card stats. Well, that was only the beginning of the woes of the former WWE Champion.
Brock Lesnar was also billed to feature on the cover of a special WWE 2K24 edition that celebrates 40 years of WrestleMania. In fact, he did feature alongside other former superstars including John Cena, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold, and others.
However, it appears that the cover has now been updated and Brock Lesnar removed. Brock Lesnar who was one of the bigger images on the cover has been edited out and John Cena was made bigger to fill up the vacuum created by his removal.

It is hard to tell if Brock Lesnar will still feature in the game. The WrestleMania special edition is meant to recreate some of WWE WrestleMania’s biggest matches. It is important to mention that Brock Lesnar featured in WrestleMania 30 where he broke The Undertaker’s two-decade winning streak.
WWE 2K24 is scheduled for release on March 8 2024 across PS5|PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. However, players who purchase the more expensive Forty Years of WrestleMania edition will get 3-day early access alongside other perks.
Exciting surprises may be coming to WWE 2K24
It is not all gloom and bad news around WWE 2K24. Muhammed Ali has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming wrestling sim. He made a cameo appearance in a new trailer published on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
Ali is considered one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport. The character which had the likeness of Ali’s young self appeared at the end of the trailer bouncing in the ring before throwing a heavy right-hand punch.

Going back memory lane, Ali was involved in the first WresltMania main event where he played the role of a referee. This is not the first time that Ali’s likeness will be making an appearance in a video game. He recently featured in UFC 5 alongside Mike Tyson.
