Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launched as a PS5 exclusive on June 26, 2025. However, the PC version of the game may be on the way, according to an ESRB rating registered for Windows PC. At the time of writing, the page was still publicly accessible.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach ESRB rating

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a masterpiece from Kojima Productions that builds on the success of the 2019 release. The game takes players across the country to deliver packages and attempt to bridge a broken world.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025. It was also nominated in six other categories. The official ESRB rating suggests a Windows PC version of the game might be around the corner. However, no such official announcement has come from the developer.

The ESRB M (Mature) rating on PC matches the game’s PS5 rating. Reading through the rating description, references were made to robotic samurai and the guitar weapon. The rating description ends with “The word ‘f**k’ is heard in the game”.

The first Death Stranding game was released on November 8, 2019, and got a PC port in July 2020, approximately 8 months later. If Death Stranding 2: On the Beach follows the same playbook, gamers should expect a PC port around late February 2026 or early March 2026.

The Game Awards is roughly two weeks away. The platform has become famous for world premieres and big announcements. Gamers who have been waiting for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC port can cautiously expect that it will be one of the big announcements at this year’s The Game Awards.

What will be interesting to see is how differently the game will play on PC, leveraging the next-gen graphics cards and revolutionary monitors that make it hard for PC gamers to go console.
