UK tabletop games company, Games Workshop, has announced that it will give £20 million (approx. $26.9 million) as a bonus to its employees following a strong revenue. At a time when the industry is recovering from mass layoffs, this gesture is a breath of fresh air.

The bonus will be handed to employees “in cash on an equal basis to each member of staff” in “recognition of staff’s contributions to these results”. This is not the first time Games Workshop has handed out bonuses to its employees. According to IGN, the company did the same in 2024. At that time, the company distributed £18 million in bonuses to its employees.

The announcement from Games Workshop followed its latest financial results, which showed a 13% year-over-year increase in core revenue to £560 million (approximately $754 million) for the 52 weeks ended June 1, 2025. The company’s core profit, on the other hand, rose 20% year-on-year to £210 million (approx. $283 million).

Games Workshop will publish its full results in the company’s upcoming 2025 annual report on July 29, 2025. It is estimated that there are around 1,500 staff in the company, which means every employee may receive up to £13,333 (approx. $17,966) from the £20 million bonus.

There is a flurry of open positions in the company, including in business operations, community marketing & events, design studios, information technology, manufacturing & distribution, and retail & webstore.
