Uppsala, Sweden-based MachineGames, the studio behind Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, published a post on October 10, 2025, in celebration of their 15th anniversary. The poster accompanying the post had six image frames. Five of the six had images of the games they have released, while the sixth frame had a question mark.
The empty frame has received different interpretations. Some say it means they have a game in development which they will likely reveal in the coming months or years, while others think it means they are not sure of the next direction to go.

In the past decade and a half, MachineGames has distinguished itself in the creation of highly rated action FPS, including the Wolfenstein series. They also contributed to the creation of Deathloop, Doom Eternal, Quake, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The massive success of Indy’s adventure means MachineGames may start working on a sequel sooner rather than later. However, the Wolfenstein series desperately needs a breath of fresh air, and the team has previously expressed its desire to return to the series.
