South Korea video game maker/publisher Neowiz has handed out a massive package to its developers following the success of Lies of P and its DLC story expansion, Overture. This is a sight for sore eyes at a time when the industry is saturated with layoff and studio closure news.
“Three million puppets or three million humans? Matters not—we hope you enjoyed your stay at Krat,” the company announced on its social media platform. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”.

The package handed out to Neowiz and Round 8 Studio developers who worked on Lies of P was reported by The Elec, a South Korean publication. Neowiz had previously announced that Lies of P has attracted 7 million players.
The recent announcement of 3 million copies sold shows that the majority of players experienced the game through Game Pass, since it launched on the Microsoft subscription platform day one.
According to the report, Neowiz handed out a launch bonus of 10 million South Korean won (around $7,300) earlier than scheduled, as well as two weeks of paid vacation (added to the 15 days of paid vacation, which is mandatory in South Korea).
Additionally, every member of Round8’s development team will receive a Nintendo Switch 2 console as a reward for hitting the publisher’s internal milestone. A sequel to Lies of P is currently in development, and Overture serves as a prequel to the first game, and an excellent intermission to keep fans busy before the sequel is ready.
Neowiz is hiring for a senior brand manager
Director of global talent acquisition at Neowiz, Jose Ha, announced on LinkedIn that the company is expanding their global reach with LATAM at the center.

“We’re hiring a Senior Brand Manager based in Latin America to lead go-to-market strategies across Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and beyond,” Ha wrote. “This role is about more than executing campaigns, it’s about shaping how our games connect with local players, communities, and culture.”
“You will work closely with global teams and regional partners bringing deep market insight, creativity, and cultural fluency to everything from launch planning to influencer engagement. If you’ve led marketing in games or entertainment, understand the power of local storytelling, and want to represent LATAM on a global stage, we’d love to connect.”
Ha added that the open position is fully remote. Therefore, if you are considering joining the company but are uncomfortable with changing location, this is a cue for you to grab the opportunity.
Neowiz is also expanding its QA team and calling on those who can “turn the passion of the fans into reality” to apply. They also have open roles, especially for those based in Latin America.
Neowiz operates under the slogan “The Magic that Makes the World Enjoyable”. Moving forward, they want to make games that passionately deliver the ultimate experience to their fans.
