Remedy Entertainment’s action-adventure game Control launched in 2019, but the developer has continued to push its boundaries. Today, Remedy announced that the game will be coming to all Apple devices early next year.
“You will soon be able to enter the Oldest House on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro alongside Mac,” the developer announced on X. “Play with a game controller, or tap into the action with touch controls. Discover a world unknown when Control arrives on these platforms in early 2026.”

Apple devices have not been traditionally seen as a gaming platform. However, in recent years, the company has been pushing boundaries in its chips, creating native emulator software, and working with developers to bring their games to Apple devices.
Although the announcement will likely thrill any gamer who uses Apple devices, Alex Patterson (pattersongerald) was left confused by its wording.
“Hey @remedygames, can you clarify if you mean this will be running standalone on Vision Pro, or will be able to play on a Vision Pro by using a Mac?” Patterson commented.
Replying to that comment, tech enthusiast @PSYCHOV3N0M said, “Their wording implies a Vision Pro port. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have mentioned it by name since you can already mirror any game running on Mac within Vision Pro.”
Another user @IkesTechTalk was more concerned to know if there is “a reason we don’t get an android version as well,” adding that, “I get the fragmentation but maybe a version optimized for the flagship chips from Qualcomm and Mediatek I think would cover most basis.”
Others think porting the old IP to new platforms is a waste of time and that resources should be channeled into the creation of Control 2.
“I love control I love Alan wake… I love basically everything you guys do I really really do. But why are we wasting resources on putting this older IP on iPhones I pads, vr’s..,” wrote @MonstaPontes93, “like focus on control 2 focus on maybe Alan wake 3?? Just you guys are better than this.. I mean this.”
By the way, Control 2 is already in development. Also, porting games to new platforms is usually less resource-intensive (human and capital) compared to building new games from scratch. It can also help developers to build capital that will be ploughted back into other games.
