Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Requiem has received over 3 million wishlists. “Raccoon City awaits the over three million of you who have wishlisted Resident Evil Requiem,” the developer wrote on social media.

Deluxe Edition for Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026. It will feature a female protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Players who purchase the Deluxe Edition will get 5 costumes for Grace, some of which will transform her into popular characters from previous releases.

Resident Evil Requiem producer, Masato Kumazawa, was recently asked in an interview published by Well Played if the upcoming release will have returning characters from Outbreak, since Grace is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft.

In response, Kumazawa said, “There are going to be some characters from the past series to come in, but don’t over-expect or hype it”. The producer was careful not to reveal too much, adding that “there will be characters that have been involved in the Raccoon City incident involved in the game”.

Kumazawa also confirmed that the stalker enemy is only a small part of the game and that the development team has learned how to balance the system from past experiences. According to the producer, the goal of Resident Evil Requiem is to find different ways to scare players.

“[We are] trying to cover a whole lot of scenarios to make sure the players can get scared and experience the horror.”

It is claimed that there is at least one story DLC in development for the upcoming release. Resident Evil Requiem was recently nominated in the “Most Anticipated Game” category of The Game Awards 2025, scheduled to be held on December 11.
