Stellar Blade is a third-person sci-fi action adventure that is set in the not-too-distant future. Players take the role of a protagonist called Eve, a warrior who descended from an off-world Colony to help reclaim Earth after an invading force, called Naytiba, expelled mankind from the planet.
Stellar Blade has enjoyed a positive reception, grossing an average score of 81 on Metacritic. Players have particularly praised the gameplay and the balanced challenge the game offered. However, the game has also enjoyed a bit of controversy due to its character model which was based on a 3D scan of an actual Korean model.
After the launch of the game, the developers were called out for censoring the character after they had promised that the game would launch uncensored in all regions.
