Over 30 Minutes Videos Of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Gameplay Leaked

Yesterday we reported that Warner Bros. Games was sending out invites to players to take part in the Closed alpha tech test of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League which is expected to run from November 30 to December 4, 2023. Apparently, someone who got the invite leaked over 30 minutes of gameplay footage of the upcoming game.

No fewer than 3 different videos of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League were leaked showcasing different aspects of the game. The videos were shared by zVISCERAL on reddit. One of the videos was the intro cutscene which saw a convoy drive into Arkham Asylum.

In the next scene, Amanda Waller, the director of A.R.G.U.S (a division of homeland security) talks to the prison warden and states her reason for coming to the facility. Subsequently, we got to see the members of the Suicide Squad strapped to a vertical standing surgical bed.

Waller drops a device she calls a microbomb injector on the table, “Stick it in your target’s neck and it’s goodnight”, she said. “You want this to be where you take your last breath? No? Then help me. I only need one of you. As for the other three, you’re dead already.”

They ended up injecting themselves. Waller re-entered the room and informed them that they were now members of Tax Force X. She pressed a button and the four were electrocuted unconscious. They woke up and found themselves suited up and on a train that took them to the first mission.

“Please note, the game is still in development, and this test will only represent a smaller, specific section of the campaign and will not be representative of the full/final experience,” Warner Bros. Games said before the alpha test.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s unique perks

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have several unique features including the fact that the game can be enjoyed solo or with up to four players in online co-op mode. The upcoming title will support full cross-platform and cross-progression play.

Through the leaked video, we have also seen the game’s skill tree. All the different characters will have their unique skill trees that will be divided into three parts; weapon, melee, and special attack upgrades.

Progressing through the skill tree will unlock new abilities and affect your playstyle as well as increase your damage or defense. Unlike in most games, the talent choices are not permanent and can be edited at any point to try a different build.

Rocksteady also tossed in some interesting character actions like high five, impatient, turn it out, don’t you forget!, damn, hey!, just watch, good job!, and impatient. In the leaked footage, when a high five was chosen, Deadshot raised his hand as if giving a high five. Turn it out made him dance in a funny way.

When playing in solo mode, the player can switch characters in a flash. It was one of the fastest character-switching mechanics we have seen in recent years. Some characters will be better suited for some missions which makes character switching an important part of the game.

Warner Bros. Games will surely be furious about the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gameplay leak. Someone has clearly violated the NDA and will be in serious trouble if caught. Before the launch of Starfield, a similar gameplay leak landed the leaker in the police net—and we bet the same fate will face the current leaker.

Perhaps, it is also time for developers and publishers to rethink the criteria they use in inviting players to closed alpha tests. By the way, if you have seen the leaked videos, what do you think about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Share your thoughts in the comment box below.
