Former BioWare Producer Predicts Layoffs And Studio Sale To Beat EA’s $20 Billion Debt

For BioWare producer, Mark Darrah, hinted on how EA could balance its inherited $20 billion debt, including sell selling IPs and studios.

BioWare employees are getting increasingly nervous about the studio’s future following the $55 billion Electronic Art acquisition.

The deal to acquire Electronic Arts has scaled for $55 billion and is expected to be completed in Q1 of 2027 fiscal year.

Electronic Arts’ shares previously worth around $43 billion soared by nearly 15% after the buyout publication.
