Red Storm Entertainment Sheds 19 Staff In Ubisoft’s $110M Cost Reduction Plan

Ubisoft laid off 19 people at North Carolina-based Red Storm Entertainment as part of its cost saving plan.

Ubisoft announced today that all Xdefiant servers are now offline which means the game is no longer playable.

Ubisoft shares have lost over 40% of their value in the last 12 months (and far more if you look six years backward).

The cut happened across Ubisoft San Francisco and Cary, North Carolina-based Red Storm Entertainment.

Ubisoft explained what the in-game purchase of XDefiant, its upcoming free-to-play, first-person shooter would look like.
