The Fun Pimps has become a property of Behaviour Interactive. The studio, which is best known for its first-person horror game, 7 Days to Die, believes the partnership will help it bring the game to its full potential.

Just like The Fun Pimps, Behaviour Interactive is also known for its long-running horror franchise, Dead by Daylight, which has enjoyed massive collaborations with several popular franchises across the movie and video game industry.

Announcing the partnership, The Fun Pimps co-founder, Richard “Rick” Huenink, recalled how 7 Days to Die, a game they cooked up on Thanksgiving 2012, has sold more than 20 million copies.
“The company has grown from two brothers to a team of 70 talented people,” Rick said. “7 Days has come far, but it is still not where we want it to be. There are so many things we want to add to the game. But a dream this big cannot be achieved alone.”
“The path forward has become clear that we needed to find the right partner. Luckily, our success has given us the freedom to be selective in this process. That is why we couldn’t be happier to announce that The Fun Pimps are joining Behaviour Interactive.”
For those who may be concerned about this acquisition, Rick said it was necessary for them to get the support and resources they need to tackle their most ambitious idea.
It doesn’t appear that the acquisition will affect the studio structure at The Fun Pimps. According to Rick, this is not about handing control. With the help of Behaviour Interactive, Rick says The Fun Pimps can expand their art, engineering, design, community, and player support teams. Rick promised to provide answers to the questions that fans may have later this year.
