After weeks of speculation, the PlayStation State of Play eventually held on June 4, 2025, and it was a packed show. Well, gamers don’t have to speculate about the time for the next one because it will be coming in July, and will be a deep dive for Ghost of Yotei.
The June 4, 2025, State of Play ran for 55 minutes and featured a total of 25 major game announcements. No doubt, some of the games announced/showcased were anticipated, like Silent Hill f, while a few of them, like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, took gamers unaware. Without further chit-chat, here is a rundown of everything that happened at the June 4, 2025, State of Play.
Lumines Arise
This game, developed by Enhance and Monstars, is what happens when you blend Tetris and Guitar Hero together. Not surprising because it is from the same team that created Tetris Effect: Connected. It is about matching squares to break them, except that this time, you are accompanied by sound pulses and an infectious, electric soundtrack. It may or may not feel like a unique experience for players who are into these kinds of games. It is scheduled for release in Fall 2025. It will have PS VR2 support.

Romeo is a Dead Man will feature lots of guns, katana, and other cool weapons in what the studio is dubbing “ultra-violent science fiction”. It will launch in 2026.
