Take-Two has reaffirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026. The affirmation was made as part of Take-Two Interactive’s quarterly earnings call. The company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, confirmed the release date in his speech.

“With ongoing momentum across many of our businesses, and the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19th, we continue to project record levels of Net Bookings in Fiscal 2027, which we believe will establish a new financial baseline for our business, set us on a path to enhanced profitability, and provide further balance sheet strength and flexibility.”

The company also confirmed that marketing will begin this summer. GTA 6 will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, there have been speculations around physical release, with some suggesting that it would be delayed until 2027 to prevent piracy.
In a recent interview with Variety, Zelnick shot down the speculations, saying, “That’s not the plan”. So, if you are one of those who prefer to purchase physical copies of games day one, there is a reason to keep believing.
In the same interview, it was confirmed that the company was pausing development on Borderlands 4 for Nintendo Switch 2. The title was removed from the company’s upcoming games chart. In the past, it was listed with a “TBA” release date.
Reacting to the discovery, Take-Two spokesperson Alan Lewis told Variety, “We made the difficult decision to pause development on that SKU. Our focus continues to be delivering quality post-launch content for players on the ongoing improvements to optimize the game.”
“We’re continuing to collaborate closely with our friends at Nintendo. We have ‘PGA Tour 2K25’ coming out and ‘WWE 2K26’ [for Switch 2], and we’re incredibly excited about bringing more of our titles to that platform in the future.”
