On Thursday, May 21, 2026, the team behind the game’s development revealed through a post on social media that the game had attracted over 6 million players.

“Forza Horizon 6? More like Forza Horizon 6-Million!” the team wrote on X. “Thank you all for joining us at Horizon Japan”.
In the last 24 hours, the game welcomed 284,139 concurrent players, beating the milestone set the previous twenty-four hours, according to SteamDB. The game has continued to attract massive accolades. On Metacritic, it received an average Metascore of 91 on Xbox Series X and 89 on PC.

Trevor Williams, the studio head at Playground Games, posted on the game’s Early Access launch date, thanking his team and their partners for bringing the Horizon Festival to Japan.
