Fans of Gears of War: E-Day (Emergence Day) who plan to play the upcoming release on PC can start tuning their computers ahead of the official release on October 6, 2026, thanks to the official reveal of the minimum and recommended PC specs for the game.

Developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios, Emergence Day tells the brutal origin story of one of the most acclaimed third-person shooter franchises in the video game industry. Gears of War: E-Day is one of the two Xbox exclusives announced at the June 2026 Xbox Games Showcase to kickstart the Xbox brand reboot.

Fans of the franchise can get Early Access to the Open Beta starting August 6. Players who pre-order will get the Exfil Dom Character Skin and the Exfil Weapon Set at launch.

Gears of War: E-Day Standard Edition is available for $69.99, while the Premium Edition is available for $99.99. Players who purchase this edition will get 5 days early start ahead of the full release, as well as several other perks.

According to Gears of War: E-Day creative director Matt Searcy, the campaign length will be the longest in the series’ history. The campaign is expected to be over 14 hours long and have more collectibles compared to any entry in the series.
