In terms of hours logged, players spent 2.78 billion hours in third-party games. In fact, the store hit a new milestone of 78 million active users on PC. Although the Epic Games Store is witnessing increased activity, the company may be worried that these activities are not happening on first-party titles.

Another reason that may be fueling the increasing activity is the Free Games Program. According to the 2025 Year in Review, players claimed 662 million titles for free through the Epic Games Store free games program. The review also showed that “77% of the games set an all-time peak CCU record on the Store during the week of their free offer”.

On the positive side, the Epic Games Store catalog has continued to grow. It has now surpassed 6,000 games. The Epic First Run and Launch Everywhere with Epic has also seen increased patronage from developers. Here is the revenue and engagement summary.
