The CEO of The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, has shared the data from the last Summer Game Fest, which was held on June 5, 2026. According to the data culled from multiple sources, Summer Game Fest set a new viewership record with 62 million global livestreams.

This year’s event was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Compared to last year, Summer Game Fest viewership grew by 23% to set a new record. Additionally, more than 12,000 content creators co-streamed the show globally, which was also a new record. Below are some of the key stats from the event:

- 19% increase in posts about Summer Game Fest on X
- 2.04 peak concurrent viewers on YouTube (30% increase from the 1.575 million recorded in 2025)
- 4,963 total streams (a 50% increase compared to the 3,317 recorded in 2025)
- 1.7 million peak concurrent viewers on Twitch (in 2025, that number was 1.4 million)
- 7,912 content creators co-streamed the show on Twitch (up to 38% increase from the 5,732 recorded in 2025)
- 2.8 million peak concurrent viewers on Bilibili (almost double YoY compared to 2025)
Summer Game Fest featured a long list of announcements and world premieres, including those from some of the most anticipated titles in the gaming community. All attention has now shifted to Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, which will be hosted by Keighley on August 25, 2026.
